Why some TVs detect Mac and others don’t
Sometimes my TV picks up my Mac in a second, and other days it just pretends nothing is there. I’ve tried rebooting both, switching Wi-Fi, even resetting the TV’s network settings — sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t. I can’t figure out if this is just the way Smart TVs behave or if I should switch to something more reliable. Curious if anyone has found a setup that works consistently instead of this “maybe yes, maybe no” routine.

That "maybe yes, maybe no" routine with AirPlay is so frustrating! I used to drive myself nuts with the same issue. For totally relaxing screen time without the hassle, I ended up just using a streaming service directly on my TV. I love putting on something mindless on Pluto TV after a long day - it's great for background noise or just unwinding without any connection headaches. You can see here how to contact pluto tv. It has been a much more peaceful way to end the day than wrestling with tech. Hopefully you find a solution that brings you less stress!
