I’ve been planning to redesign my room and I keep coming back to the idea of a black vanity desk. At first I thought white or pink setups looked nicer, but now I’m starting to like the more modern, minimal look that black furniture gives. My only concern is whether it might make the room feel too dark or heavy, especially since my space isn’t that big. I came across different styles in the black vanity desk collections like https://www.luminapro.co/collections/black-vanity-desks and now I’m wondering if people actually find black desks practical in daily use or if they’re mostly chosen for aesthetics. Has anyone built a full vanity setup around a black desk and liked how it turned out long-term?

I don’t have a vanity setup myself, but I’ve noticed black furniture becoming a lot more popular in general interiors lately. It seems like people are moving away from overly bright aesthetic setups and going for more neutral, modern styles that age better. Black desks especially seem to work well in “content creator” type rooms where lighting and contrast matter. Even if you don’t care about makeup setups specifically, the idea of using darker furniture as a base and balancing it with light elements seems pretty common in modern design.
