Selling an expensive laptop on Craigslist. How to safely find people before meeting up?
Hey guys, need some quick advice on local selling safety. I listed my gaming laptop on Craigslist for $1,200, and a guy messaged me saying he wants to buy it today. He agreed to my price without even negotiating, which immediately made me a bit suspicious. He wants to meet up in a local parking lot after dark because of his work schedule. I told him we should meet at a public police station parking lot instead, but I still feel pretty anxious about the whole deal. I have his full name and phone number from his texts. Is there a way to quickly search people online to see if he's a real local guy or someone with a history of scamming? I just want to verify his identity before putting myself in a risky situation. Thanks!
