Long time Rubio Long Snapper Chase Dominguez (CA, 2013) has been offered a full scholarship to the Utah Utes!
Chase is currently the #4 Long Snapper in his class and a member of the exclusive "TOP 12" and Event Elite Camp this summer. Chase is known for being one of the smoothest Long Snappers in the country. Extremely accurate, consistent and athletic make him a coaches dream. He is long with a ton of frame to put weight on. He has been riding a high ever since winning the 10th Annual National Snapping Spring Event in Las Vegas last May.
Chase is not only a great Long Snapper, he is also a terrific student with a 4.0 GPA and an even better person. Extremely proud of him!

RECRUITING TIEBREAKERS
Chris Sailer Kicking sees more kicking, punting, and long snapping prospects per year than anyone in the business. With the National Events in Las Vegas, Regional Nike Camps, College Camps with major programs such as Alabama, Oregon, LSU, Texas, and UCLA, overseas camps in Australia, etc. it is rare that a specialist prospect looking to play college football doesn't pass through our program. Having said that, believe me when I say there is a great college home for everyone that shows decent potential and understands the world of recruiting.
Did you know that over 800 colleges nationwide have football programs. My advice for you is to use football to help you get into a college and graduate with a degree you might have otherwise never received. It isn't as difficult as you might think. Hard work and reaching your full potential on the football field is the obvious first step. Where most prospects miss the boat is understanding the tiebreakers. What is a tiebreaker? When all things are equal on the field, what does a college coach look for to make his choice! Take a look.....
Chris Sailer Kicking's #1 high school punting prospect Sean Covington recently committed to the UCLA Bruins. Sean attended and dominated the 2012 GA Nike Summer Camp in Atlanta, GA. His field goals showed D1 ability off the ground. Kickoffs were second to none. And most impressively his punting was worthy of a D1 scholarship.
Sean came to Chris Sailer Kicking in hopes of gaining the necessary exposure necessary to get his first offer. "I was shocked that Sean had not received any offers up until that point. The skill set and amazing athletic ability was obvious. I told Sean and his father that attention would be coming his way very soon. It didn't take long. Dozens of schools were happy to hear that a player of Sean's caliber was available." - Chris Sailer
Covington was immediately at the top of most major college recruiting lists. "UCLA was in the market for a replacement for All-PAC 12 Punter and Kickoff specialist Jeff Locke. Having trained Jeff for many years, I saw so many similarities in Sean. Sean is also a lefty that will be a standout D1 kickoff specialist and has all the tools to develop into a dominating D1 punter. The fit was perfect." - Chris Sailer
Covington picked up his first offer from UCLA within a few weeks. Other major schools were also in the mix. After a visit to Westwood, Covington was sold on the Bruins. He committed! "I am happy for Sean. I believe that he will be the next great Kicker/Punter for UCLA, which has a great tradition of specialists. The future is bright for Covington and the Bruins!"

- MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

The "Rubio" Project
A couple of weeks ago, I received a call from Rubio Long Snapper Tanner Gibas (University of Kansas). For those of that don't know (which I am guessing is almost all of you), Gibas has stopped playing football at KU for personal reasons. Mentally and physically it was the best decision for him and I stood by it. It was the right thing to do for him and I always want what's best for my kids. Football got him to where he is, but it is not what it is going to take him to where he wants to be with the special talent that he possesses.
We chatted for a bit about life (Gibas is a VERY talented and unique man) and then he tells me "Rubio, I have this major idea that I have been thinking about for a long time and I want to hear your thoughts on it." I listened and listened and listened, all the while my mouth kept opening wider and wider in shock and disbelief while my body began to tremble with excitement and anticipation.
After some bantering back and forth to discuss details and our history (I have known Gibas and his family for approximately 15 years), I said to Gibas, "Well, if you want to do it, LET'S DO IT!" and here it is.......
Ok, you probably are filled with questions. HERE is the page that will help with those and show you how to back Gibas' film (without backing/pledging, it will not be made). This is not something that will be done by me or Rubio Long Snapping. This is all going to be on Tanner Gibas. Be sure to follow him on Twitter @TannerGibas or email him at

Why you MUST use YouTube instead of other film services
Written by RUBIO

Recently, I posted a blog about getting exposure to the college coaches. Within that blog, I spoke of how any athlete looking for exposure should create a YouTube channel to host their videos instead of other services (let's just say other services being Brand H). There are several reasons for my backing of YouTube over Brand H and here are just a couple....
1. YouTube can EASILY be seen on mobile devices (cell phones) by coaches. Coaches will do a ton of traveling and on their travels, they like to look at film of potential recruits. With YouTube, they can watch videos with no hassle and they are clear. With Brand X, it is near impossible.
2. YouTube never has glitches with their service unlike Brand H which, to my account, is CONSTANTLY having some sort of clarity issue. For instance, I just tried to look at a video on Brand H and this is what it looked like:
Let me reassure you, this is not a once in a lifetime occurence for me. I can honestly say this happens to me about 95% of the time. You know what happens to the viewer when they see this? They turn it off and it frustrates them. Do you really want to frustrate the coach that you want recruiting you? I didn't think so.
3. Many using Brand H are using it because their coach wants them to. That's fine and dandy, but often the coach makes videos private and then the coach/writer/recruiting coordinator/Long Snapping instructor/awards committee can't have access to their film. Makes it a little tricky as you can imagine and, once again, you have frustrated the party you want viewing your film.
Please note: the opinions above are not only mine and have been also expressed to me countless times by coaches and writers.
UPDATE:
Here is yet another reason NOT to use Brand H. I recently received a video from a high school Long Snapper's coach. He wanted me to watch the film. I clicked on link and saw this....
I can tell you right now that a coach is not going to waste his time to create an account. They will already be off and watching another athlete's film.
