The 8th Annual National Snapping Event on January 16-17, 2010 in Las Vegas sponsored by Nike was a huge success. The level of long snappers in attendance was off the charts. With well over 100 participants from all over the country this was truly a NATIONAL camp. Thirty states and two countries were represented. Amazing. If you were able to prove yourself here, you could prove yourself anywhere. The winner of the camp was Derek O'Dell (2011, Foothill HS, CA). Congratulations go out to him and his family. Not only does Derek get bragging rights for one year, he also receives a years worth of free Chris Sailer Kicking camps! Saturday was dedicated to instruction and Sunday was centered around the competition on The Target. The pressure was in abundance as everyone wanted to prove themselves as the best of the best on this national stage. The top 12 RSI scores made it to the Finals Round at 5:00 pm. First round matchups were Cole vs Santa Cruz (winner Cole), Suter vs Wilkinson (winner Suter), Elliott vs Thompson (winner Thompson) and Coggins vs O'Dell (winner O'Dell) Second round matchups were McBride vs Cole (winner McBride), Suter vs Hussey (winner Hussey), Arnold vs Thompson (winner Arnold) and O'Dell vs Freeman (winner O'Dell) Third round/Semifinals matchups were McBride vs Hussey (winner McBride) and Arnold vs O'Dell (winner O'Dell) Finals matchup was McBride vs O'Dell (winner O'Dell) Here are the results from the Target broken up for you in several ways.
